Mysterious and fiercely forward-thinking, Munich-based producer and DJ Skee Mask reimagines the past to shape the future. Drawing from the raw energy of ’90s backroom icons like Chain Reaction, Warp Records, and Counterbalance, his sound blends dusty breakbeats with euphoric synths—but forget nostalgia. Skee Mask reinvents the formula, pushing boundaries with relentless innovation. His 2018 breakthrough album Compro, released on Ilian Tape, is the perfect example: dripping with vintage rave vibes yet impossibly fresh and diverse, it earned widespread acclaim. Behind the decks, Skee Mask is just as dynamic, weaving seamlessly between genres to craft grooves that keep you guessing and moving.
